Unlike traditional guest books, an engravable signature mat & frame or wedding platter will hold the signatures and sentiments of loved ones forever. A Signature Engraving Scribe with a diamond-like tip is used to permanently etch signatures onto a sturdy, high quality metal alloy surface.
Each of our platters and signature mats are made by the traditional craft of foundry sand molding. It's a detailed process, where sand molds are filled with molten metal, cooled and hand-finished one at a time. Minor differences add to the unique characteristics of each piece.
The finish of each piece is a high polish similar to silver yet does not require polishing and will not tarnish. Each product is a solid piece of metal with no coating applied.
About the Platters
We make our Guest Book Platters from a unique, non-toxic aluminum-based alloy, making them ideal for serving and entertaining. They are very durable and will not crack, chip or dent under normal usage. The back sides of the platters are rough finished and not meant for signing.
